Shamrocks Finish 3rd at Tygart Valley Invitational
The 2009 campaign continued with a solid showing at the annual Tygart Valley Invitational Tournament. Invited to attend as we often are, we had a great
Saturday setting us up nicely for a run to the show on Sunday. Offense was
once again the key in advancing the Shamrocks to the semi final round where they lost a hard fought 2-1 loss. Shamrocks had a chance to head to the Championship with bases loaded in the bottom of the 7th, with a defensive catch suitable for ESPN to end the run and place us 3rd for the weekend. This tournament was considered a preparatory event for our national championship run giving us a chance to play the best competition invited to this event from the valley and beyond. |
